Fdel Vs Featurecast (UK)www.myspace.com/downsydeFdel, touring nationally with UK master of funk…Featurecast doing a 4 turntable mashup is to be a special treat for Funk Club festival 2007.
Featurecast (AKA mild-mannered Lee Mintram) first burst on the scene with releases on the highly respected British independent label Catskills Records (also home of Pepe Deluxe, Black Grass, Bushy and Hardkandy). Hailing from the sleepy sea front of Southampton, his first release, the awesome Composing Blind EP, marked Featurecast as a talent to watch as he effortlessly moved from the up-tempo block-party Hip Hop of Recipe For The Perfect Afro to the lush cinematic stylings of the title track Composing blind. Since then Featurecast has contributed quality tracks to the highly successful Catskills Straight Out The Cat Litter Scoop compilation series that have kept his currency high on both the dancefloor and on the downtempo tip. Among those tracks is the hip-swinging, infectious Hip Hop flavour of Channel Surfing that was used on Apple computers iPod commercial, this track also showcases Featurecasts dj and deck skills alongside the mighty vocal skills of rap legend Kool Keith. Preferring to stay out of the limelight, Featurecast has produced many releases under a variety of pseudonyms in many diverse genres from Hip Hop, House, Trance, Breaks, and Drum And Bass, as well as some tasty production work for UK rap crew The Pickpockets and house music and breakbeat star James Zabiela. Chances are youve probably heard a Featurecast production without even realising it.

Funk Club House Band
www.myspace.com/funkclubincThe Funk Club House Band was formed in 2003 with the main aim of being “the face” of Funk Club, paying tribute to the funk/soul heroes of old whilst spreading the love and good times the music instils. Adopting the ethos of good fun, music to move to and playing to a crowd, the band began to progress rapidly covering all their favourite rare ‘old skool’ funk tunes, producing an exciting funk/jazz sound with visual appeal, but skating away from the traditional “funk” cover bands.
Having released a live compilation CD in 2005 with plans for an Album later this year The Funk Club House Band has supported bands such as The Waifs, Salmonella Dub, The Bamboos, Dexter, Kid Confucius and Bomba coupled with over 3 years as the resident house band at the Funk Club…some describe the Funk Club House Band as an institution unto itself.
