A 2012 kick off Super Session/ Return Engagement for the legendary “Jazz Rooms” club session following recent storming Perth shows!

The Jazz Rooms' unique musical formula has sustained it through an incredible quarter of a century. Based in Brighton UK and most recently in Sydney and Melbourne it connects dance vibrations from all strands of black music past, present and future with a firm emphasis on dance floor energy. Whether spinning a dusty Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers 60s Blue Note Jazz tune, an undiscovered 70s Funk gem, some lost Nigerian grooves or the hottest Latin drum n bass bomb; if it's good it gets played at the Jazz Rooms.
 
In a musical career spanning 25 years founder of the Jazz Rooms Russ Dewbury has achieved a reputation as one of the best Djs on the worldwide music circuit. Working with everyone from Art Blakey to The Roots, Russ is also very well known for his legendary “Jazz Bop” live shows, New Jazz Spectrum Radio show and many Record compilations and productions.
Now splitting his time between Europe and Australia Russ is connecting the Jazz Rooms dots on a worldwide scale.

Live input comes from the fabulous Grace Barbe fresh from winning the WAMI Best World Act 2011.
Grace Barbe’s music reflects and celebrates the diverse and exotic cultural influences of her Indian Ocean heritage (African, Indian, Asian, European), while modern reggae, dub and soul also have a strong influence. Grace enjoys a hectic touring schedule and her hugely entertaining live show is going to set the “Jazz Rooms” alight!
Currently working on her new album to be released at the end of the year.....watch this space.

Charlie Bucket is simply Perth’s finest DJ.
A stalwart of Jazz Rooms sessions over the last 3 years Charlie’s great knowledge and uplifting musical mix of old and nu school flavours will have Devilles jumping early on.
