With the ringing still in our ears after the amazingly ambitious REVENGE OF THE HORNS which took three brass heavy big bands to the streets with Junkadelic and back again in time for one of the best shows Soulaverse has ever seen, we thought it was about time to show you our chilled groove side of things and give the ears a bit of relaxation.

Next up we are proudly presenting SOULAVERSE UNPLUGGED; soulful chillouts but with 100% ...soulaverse groove goodness.

The Funk Club is going to be transformed into the ultimate Indian flavored lounge room house party so you can space groove or just kick it right back on a variety of tattered old couches we've sourced from Perth's best verges. We'll also have some finger food for the early birds so you can feel right at home.

One stage isn't good enough for SOULAVERSE; so joining the usual funk club main stage will be a smaller acoustic tent which will show some of the acts performing in a more intimate solo light away from their bands running back to back with the main stage!

Heading up the bill straight from yo mumma's house we have the acoustic soul hip hop behemoth Emcee Rae who provides an amazingly innovative approach to the genre with his infused soul poetry, acoustic guitar and turntable beats. Natalie Alley (Typhoons) will also be joining Rae in the solo tent to show off their funky duo. Making it not reeeally a solo tent. (oh well)

Also on the bill is the ever happy doo wap soul pop root tooters, Minky G & The Effects, the stunning jazzy infused Tree with her band, Don & Casey from The Accumulated Gestures delivering piano soul ballads, The Brow / Seam's Lyndon Blue aka. Heathcoat Blue and the original Brow Horn Orchestra busking duo taking us back to their Casio / melodica / trombone reggae jam roots.

Not bad for a tenna or 5 bucks if next time you hit the funk club you become a member which makes sense really.

(On the street) Brow horn original busking duo.
