Perth-based, half Samoan-Maori, “DJ P.Weezy”, will be holding the night together between band sets with a mix of RnB, oldskool, hiphop and reggae beats. This will be an awesome night you will not forget, and everyone is welcome... so spread the word, and keep Friday night, June 25 reserved for this momentous occasion.
One Island East has been working in the Perth music scene for the past 12 months, and now they deliver their debut EP launch at the Funk Club on June 25. This band have become known for their unique jazzy reggae and soulful roots style of music, but most importantly the good vibes they bring to every venue with each performance. Having held residency at the Llama Bar, Leederville Hotel and Bar Orient, OIE also performed at the Subi Street Festival in 2009 and the Perth International Beer Festival early this year. With traces of Bob Marley, The Gypsy Kings, Jack Johnson and Fat Freddy’s drop… there is something for everyone in their music.
