Cancer Funkraiser
A tribute to Lui Paolino and all suffers of cancer.

Lui Paolino was a local Perth musician, playing and teaching drums he was beloved to many in the Perth music industry as a positive shining star with a passion for music and especially his drums!

Early last year Lui Paolino contracted a rare form of cancer, travelling quickly through his system it was only by chance doctors found it in his body and were able to put him straight onto Chemotherapy and save his life. Mid last year he was pronounced cured, with no further signs of cancer in his body, a few months later the cancer returned and Lui again took up the fight to save his life but with a body already weakened from the first bought he was unable to fightoff a second attack. Earlier this year Lui passed away at the age of 32.

Lui's story is one of sadness and also of warning, that even at the age of 30 people can be susceptible to cancer so be aware!

Lui's family and Funk Club bring to you the first of an annual fundraiser to raise money for cancer research and also to broaden awareness for people under the age of 40 years to be aware! Monies raised on the night will go toward cancer research and the Cancer Council of WA.

Lui's great live original band called Epicentre will be playing in tribute on the night as well as the funk club house band.
