“Funk for Da Fish”: Music Gig to Promote Marine Sanctuaries for the Southwest
A talented bunch of West Aussie musicians will come together on the 26th of March to ‘Funk for Da Fish’; a fundraiser for Save Our Marine Life. Matt Gresham, The Brow Horn Orchestra, DJ Charlie Bucket and the Funk club house band will pump out their tunes in support of marine protection in our South West.
Where: Funk Club (upstairs at the Leederville Hotel), corner Oxford and Newcastle St, Leederville
When: Friday 26th March from 8pm
What: Music fundraiser run by volunteer team the ‘blue-people” (see attached photo). All door profits for the Save Our Marine Life campaign. We are encouraging people to wear something blue to support our unprotected marine life!
Matt Gresham is Perth’s favourite Blues, Roots and Reggae artist. He has been gigging for over 7 years, plays sell out shows every week and has a massive following.

Conservation Council Community Campaigner Leah McGovern said, “currently less than 1% of WA’s southwest waters have any protection at all, we need a network of marine sanctuaries to ensure our marine life can survive and thrive. At Funk for Da Fish will be an awesome night as WA artists pump out their tunes in support of marine protection for our Southwest.”
