Get up to get down at the Funk Club (upstairs @ the Leedy) on Friday February 5th for The Funk Club House Bands first show for 2010! supported by The S.K.A.M onstage at 9pm, house band on at 10:30pm
$10 entry, $5 for members, charlie bucket in between, only $5 to the manor after if you have Funk club stamp/member card.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls! Straight out of Perth, Western Australia comes an upside yo' head serving of heavy groovin' funk in the form of The Super Kool Awesome Machine!
Formed in early 2009, The S.K.A.M is collaboration between an MCing wordsmith, a skilled set of hands on 2 turntables and a mixer, an afro wearing "chocolate groove" bass player, a balls to the wall funky guitarist, a guitar slaying effects wizard and a heavy breakbeatin' drummer. The common ground: the will to create music that'll make you "let yo' god self just get wild", to quote Afrika Bambaataa.
A young band with a collective wealth of experience, the bar has been set exceedingly high for The S.K.A.M. And whether you are a spectator or a promoter, a solemn promise is forged with you every time the band steps onstage. The S.K.A.M will do its best to impress with its hard hitting groove and more than energetic stage show which are truly things to be witnessed.
