Feature  Acts:

PEOPLE UNDER THE STAIRS

Since meeting in 1995, Los Angeles' People Under The Stairs have risen from the ranks of URB Magazine's Next 100 to becoming international hip-hop emissaries. Thes One & Double K, affectionately known as The P by their fans, have been able to evolve their distinct brand of fun-loving production while staying rooted in the golden era of hip-hop, an accomplishment that has earned them acclaim from both critics and pioneers such Biz Markie and DJ Jazzy Jeff.

In addition to selling over 150,000 records worldwide, their music has been featured in numerous video games and television shows, they have played most of the major festivals in the world (from Glastonbury to the X-Games), and still continue to tour relentlessly.

Four years since their last full-length release, People Under The Stairs have finally returned with another breath of fresh air in full drum-banging, chorus-shouting, feel-good musical form with their long awaited album Stepfather.

"People are really going to be surprised by this album," says Thes One, "We're flipping the script on this one, coming with an extremely progressive approach. We study a lot of music theory and classic material, and this album reflects that."

Once again setting the standard for the rest of hip hop to follow.

RUSS DEWBURY

... one of the most influential and, highly respected figures on the international dance music scene ...

Brighton based Dewbury is one of the top DJs on the circuit and has developed a substantial reputation as live music promoter, record compiler, broadcaster, composer/ producer and all - round musicologist.

Stronger than ever in 2008, the Jazz Rooms has become one of the most successful sessions in club history. “a legendary affair that all should attend” (Straight No Chaser Magazine). From this base Russ has performed at all of the top clubs worldwide and enjoys a hectic touring schedule.

Dewbury launched the Jazz Bop concept in Australia in 2004 with a Nationwide Tour featuring the Quantic Soul Orchestra and Alice Russell which received rave reviews. A second tour featuring the Quantic Soul Orchestra, Alice Russell, The Bamboos and DJ Mad Mats played to full houses across Australia in November 2005.

Then a third tour featuring US based Breakestra is occurred November 2006 blowing funk fans minds across the nation!
